Bad filename

Posted on:February 15 2006

An nice error message by Quicktime:
Uhhh! What a BAD filename!1!!1 The filename consisted of about 54 characters. After shortening it, Quicktime didn't complain anymore. Maybe MacOS doesn't support long filenames? I've no idea.

Comments:

MacOS supports 255 characters since '98 (and 31 since '85).

At the least, Quicktime's error dialogs aren't designed to support file names that long :)

Quicktime sux. What's even more frustrating is that there are many trailers/clips in Quicktime's format.
