StarCraft 2 without LAN

Strange move by Blizzard: Starcraft 2 will not have LAN support, it seems like you will only be able to play multiplayer games via Internet/Battle.net.

well of course, we dont want LAN support! That will allow LAN parties to not have to actually own any copies of the game to play together!
nevermind the fact that LAN parties have a tendency to break a network in the first place so even if they all had a copy of the game they wouldnt be able to play together due to bottlenecking the internet
