Updated: There is now a new
JavaScript 3D engine
named
CopperLicht
available. Not public yet, but looks promising. No wonder, I wrote it. :)

One of the guys with 3D demos released his library under MIT license: http://gyu.que.jp/jscloth/parpevision.js
Should be fun having a play around with this.

wasn't there a plan to support opengl in the html canvas element? that would be great. hopefully this will be possible soon.
