Software Patents rejected

The European Parliarment has rejected to vote for the Software Patents
for now. Kewl.
Maybe US lawmakers will see this as a sign to investigate how microstep patents, especially in the software area, are limiting US businesses and making it 999% harder to compete with the rest of the world.
Seems that lobbies backing big money companies can't win all the time !! I'm impressed by the odds too : 648 to 14. Lets hope that in some times from now, a new proposal could be proposed and voted saying a clear "no" to software patents (a

This shows me the EU isn't ALWAYs a bad thing
