We, the
Irrlicht team, are currently looking for a maintainer of the Mac OS port of Irrlicht because we don't have the time to do it ourselves. If you are experienced developing C++ on MacOS and want to join our team to help, just send us a mail. Here is what you should do first:
- Get the latest irrlicht release, version 1.4, from svn (branch 1.4), make it compile and run on MacOSX (prefered both on intel and powerpc), and bundle it as SDK. This should not be that difficult, only some few changes here and there should be necessary.
- Send me the result (download link) so I can test and review it. If everything is fine and the rest of the team is ok with you, you'll get access to all servers (you can check in your modifications into the svn then) and are free to help us developing one of the most popular open source 3D engines.
Note: We usually get several applications, so if you did all this, we still cannot guarantee that you will become a irrlicht development team member then. But we hope you will :)
