Spiderpig!

yup. I was at the first representation in dresden. the whole cinema was filled with simpsons-fans. we had a great night but there was no free bear and donuts :)

the movie was better than I expected :)

The most important question: what's the quality of the German translation?

yes, it was quite ok, in contrast to the usual joke-swallowing translation of the tv version, I guess. I think Arnold Schwarzenegger would have sounded better in the english version (in our version they let him speak german with a styrian dialect), but it was very ok.
They even localized the spider-pig song (repeated in the end during the credit screens) which was very great :)

I watched the trailer and I LOLed the spiderschwein (spiderpig) thingy :)

Was it in English or dubbed one? I wish I could watch the premiere (original version) here in Bremen ... :(

That sounds like an awesome combination. Until I think how massive amounts of suger mixed with massive amount of beer might not settly to well. I bet those donuts soaked up all of the beer, making your stomach swell and kept your buzz going for a long long time.

Even knowing this I would have been chugging the beer and cramming the donuts down. :)
