More Austrians live in Germany than Germans live in Austria

On pages like r/austria, you read a lot casual racism from Austrians towards Germans. They usually use the ethnic slur "Piefke" to describe them and when reading comments there, you get the impression that Germans are overrunning Austria because it's such a nice country to live or to study in.

Interestingly, the reality is the other way round: Percentage-wise, 10 more Austrians live in Germany than Germans live in Austria. And even in absolute terms, more Austrians live in Germany than Germans live in Austria:

According to Wikipedia 216789 Germans live in Austria [2] and 342000 Austrians live in Germany [3]. So even in absolute terms, about 30% more Austrians live in Germany than Germans live in Austria.

Considering that Austria has only a tenth of the population of Germany, it's quite fascinating (Germany has a population of 83237124 (Dec 2021) while Austria has roughly 10 times less: 8913088). Since it appears that Germany is such more interesting for Austrians to live there, especially if Austrians appear not to like Germans living in their country (at least on social media like r/austria).
